The singer, 39, and Swizz – real name Kasseem Dean – tied the knot way back when in 2010 and celebrated a decade of marriage by sweetly paying tribute to each other on Instagram.

The couple are parents to two sons Egypt, nine, and Genesis, five, while Swizz is dad to three more children from previous relationships; daughter Nicole, 12, and sons Prince, 19, and Kasseem Jr, 13.
He and Alicia reportedly knew each other as teenagers and married at a private home on the Mediterranean Sea, while Alicia was pregnant with the pair’s eldest son.
Alicia discusses her pregnancies in her memoir, More Myself, and admits she was ‘torn’ over whether to terminate her second pregnancy when she fell pregnant again four years later in 2014.
She explains that she wasn’t sure having a baby was the right move for her at the time due to work commitments and writes: ‘I wasn’t ready for this, which is what I told the doctor. “This is the worst time ever. I’m working on my next album. My husband just got into Harvard Business School. And I’ve been drinking—a lot”. I left her office feeling so torn.’
‘The music I was creating felt more important and urgent than just about everything. I’d have to put off its release for at least a year if I chose to have the baby.’
She recalls visiting husband Swizz at a record studio and the pair listened to a song they had written together called More Than We Know.
Alicia continues: ‘The lyrics are about how we’re capable of so much more than we can ever imagine. My eyes filled with tears. How could I take away the potential for this beautiful child.
‘This light that could touch others in ways I couldn’t dream of. For me, the song was a powerful message that I should go on with the pregnancy.’
