Matteo Guendouzi has distanced himself from Arsenal’s FA Cup celebrations following their victory over Chelsea on Saturday.

The midfielder has not featured for Arsenal since his clash with Neal Maupay during the Gunners’ 2-1 defeat to Brighton on June 20.

Guendouzi has been left out by Mikel Arteta since that incident and the 21-year-old was omitted from the squad for Arsenal’s clash against Chelsea at Wembley.

Following their 2-1 victory over Frank Lampard’s side, Arsenal’s players flocked to Twitter and Instagram to celebrate the club’s 14th FA Cup trophy.

But Guendouzi has remained silent during the celebrations and has opted not to publicly congratulate his teammates on their latest success.

Guendouzi then broke his silence on Sunday by updating his Instagram account with a picture of his villa overlooking the sea with the caption: ‘Holidays’.

Speaking after the final, Arteta insisted that Guendouzi and Mesut Ozil, who was also left out of the squad, should be included in Arsenal’s success this season.

‘They’re all part of it,’ said the Arsenal manager.

‘We don’t have here Matteo and Mesut but they’re a big part of it because they all contributed in here.

‘They all should be a big part of it. All of them contributed to this trophy.’

Arsenal are now looking to offload Guendouzi this summer and reports have claimed that the midfielder has been offered to Atletico Madrid as part of the deal to sign Thomas Partey.

Ozil, meanwhile, was not in attendance at Wembley, but the midfielder did send a message of congratulations to his Arsenal teammates following their FA Cup win.
