The pair broke hearts last night with her statement, which stated that after six months they had gone their separate ways as they had come to realise they ‘weren’t for the long-term’.
This got even more complicated seeing as they live together, share a pet puppy and have a reality show on the way.
She wrote on Instagram: ‘Jack and I have sadly decided to part ways. It’s been an incredible six months and we will always have a place in our hearts for each other, but sadly we’ve come to the realisation that it’s not mean to be long-term.
‘We both plan to stay friends, I hope you’ll all understand. Love, Dani xx,’ she added.
However, this morning, the post has been removed from the social sites – so no available status of their relationship is immediately available.
So does this mean that they could be back on?
Metro.co.uk has contacted the pair’s representatives for comment.
Jack and Dani have been couple goals since they first met this summer on the 2018 series of Love Island, pairing up immediately and never wavering from each other’s sides since.
However, since returning to reality after winning the show, they have both been in high demand – and have moved at a rapid pace as their relationship grew stronger.
They have both admitted that they have ‘bickered’ while filming their new reality show, causing tension between the pair.
‘We do have arguments but people can’t think the world is going to end because we’ve had a row. It’s a normal thing having an argument,’ he explained to The Sun in November.
Describing the TV show filming as intense, he said: ‘We had bickers during filming just like any other couple. I got emotional with Dani doing it; I even had a couple of tear ups.’
‘But Dani and I got through it,’ he added.
Despite the tiffs, they were still seen loved up and happy after filming the Love Island Christmas reunion, and are meant to be hosting the NTAS 2019 together.
So things could get pretty awkward.
