The Walking’s Dead Norman Reedus revealed that he was bitten in the chest by a rabid fan who met him at a meet and greet.
Norman, who plays Darryl on the long-running zombie apocalypse, and revealed to Dan Fogler on his 4D Experience podcast that there were some shock sides to being part of the cult favourite.
Especially after appearing on a magazine cover wearing a t-shirt that declared Bite Me!, Norman revealed that it had some unexpected side effects to the point that they had to enforce a strict ‘no biting’ policy.
He explained: ‘She put her arm around me, we were posing for a picture, and she kind of turned into a werewolf. She looked up in the sky and started to shake and then her teeth came and clomped down on my chest.’
‘She was tackled, she didn’t break skin but there were teeth marks there,’ he added. ‘Right through my clothes. She got tackled, got brought out, and as she came outside, she said, “What happened?”
‘They said, “Ma’am, I think you bit Norman.” She was like, “What? No, I didn’t!”’
Luckily for her, Norman saw the funny side and decided against pressing charges.
‘I’m like: “No, she’s a nice lady, she just had a moment.” They can get pretty wild. She kind of turned into a werewolf. She shook and the whole thing.’
After the exit of Rick Grimes, Norman’s character Darryl is still carrying on strong as the anti-hero of the series.
The show has now gone on a hiatus and will pick up in February, where the rest of season nine will play out.
In the meantime, instead of you know, biting cast members, why don’t you try going to the set location? It’s open to the public now and will likely result in less time with the police.
The Walking Dead returns on 10 February 2019 on AMC in the US and Fox in the UK
