Killing Eve fans got a special Valentine’s Day gift after TV bosses released a trailer for season three – and we couldn’t be more excited about it.
Despite the clip being super-short, fans didn’t seem to mind as we got our first glimpse of lead actresses Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer in action.
It began with psychopathic assassin Villanelle (Jodie), stroking a wave of red fabric that covers her face as it blows in the breeze.
We then get flashes of Eve (Sandra) across the screen, dressed in a burgundy turtleneck sweater and a brown coat, with Villanelle wearing a red leather jacket.
The clip ends as ‘Happy V Day’ appears on the screen with a drop of blood dribbling down the ‘V.’
And fittingly the music you can hear as you watch the clip is Hallelujah Chorus from George Frideric Handel Messiah.
The teaser was released by BBC America on Twitter with the caption ‘#KillingEve returns April 26. Don’t you dare miss it.’
Oh, we won’t be missing it don’t worry.
Fans quickly rushed to Twitter as they tried to contain their excitement.
One commented: ‘OMGGGGG HAPPY V DAY INDEED.’
Another tweeted: ‘So damn excited.’

While not much has been officially confirmed plot-wise, the secret-keeping for the third season hasn’t exactly gone to plan, with Sandra recently dropping a major spoiler.
After the explosive season two finale saw the cat-and-mouse chase reach its climax as Eve was shot by her arch-nemesis/girl crush Villanelle, fans have desperately been waiting to find out the MI6 agent’s fate.
Thankfully, that drawn-out wait is over as Sandra has set the record straight, confirming that Killing Eve’s Eve has not been killed as she told Porter magazine: ‘So, obviously I didn’t die.’
According to the 48-year-old actress, the next series will pick up from where that dramatic moment left off, as she mysteriously continued: ‘[The next season] is basically about where you come back after that, emotionally.’
Killing Eve hits our screens on 24 April.
