A sick pervert had a ‘paedophile manual’ as well as thousands of vile child abuse images.

Lee Fox, 30, had sick footage featuring children as young as three on his phone and laptop.

He also had a Spanish ‘paedophile manual,’ which translated as ‘How to Practice Child Love.’

Derby Crown Court heard many of the worst films showed girls as young as ten being abused while one of them, a four-minute movie, was entitled ‘three-year-old with grandpa’.

When detectives raided the home Fox shared with his family, he disappeared into his room to reconfigure his mobile phone to try and cover his tracks.

Jailing him for 14 months, Judge Shaun Smith said: ‘There is a sinister element to your offending which cannot be overlooked.

‘That paedophile manual, not only did it tell users how to gain access to children, its very purpose is getting access to children so they can be abused.’

Eddie Leonard, prosecuting, said in February this year, police raided Fox’s home in Ashbourne, Derbyshire, after receiving information that a mobile phone registered at that address was being used to access sick child abuse websites.

Miss Leonard added that no-one at the property admitted it was their telephone number and Fox was ‘reluctant’ to hand over a laptop.

He went to his bedroom alone while the officers were there and ‘restored the factory settings’ on his mobile.

Police analysed his computer and found the manual plus 7,120 indecent images.

Miss Leonard said as well as 1,630 images or movies of the most serious ‘category A’ there were also 855 category B and 4,645 category C.

Fox pleaded guilty to three counts of making indecent images of children, one of possessing the paedophile manual and one count of theft.

Defending Will Bennett said his client has never had a sexual partner and still lived at home with his parents.

He said Fox ‘has been addicted to child pornography for between 18-months and two years’.

Mr Bennett said: ‘To some extent he’s a painfully sad and lonely individual.

‘As disturbing and worrying as this case is there is no evidence that he acted on any urges.

‘The paedophile manual is in Spanish, he does not speak Spanish and there is no evidence he translated it.’

As well as the jail term, Judge Smith handed Fox a 10-year sexual harm prevention order.

Speaking after sentencing, an NSPCC spokesman said: ‘Each of these despicable images is a crime scene, featuring the most appalling abuse of young and vulnerable children.

‘By downloading them, Fox has helped to sustain an industry that thrives on suffering and pain.’
